The 6th game for game a week, with the theme "Legerdemain" and one of my most unfinished. I was short for time this week and also tried to do a number of new things. I wanted to learn how to use simple tilesets in Unity2D, simple 2D platformer controls, basic animations and restricted screen scrolling, along with designing a small non-linear puzzel game. In the end it was way too much and I only got a tiny bit into the final build. When I spell it all out now, it becomes pretty obvious I was going to have a hard time. I also hesitated to work on this game as I had another more personal idea that I was unsure about tackling, but in the ended decided it needed too much care to end up how I wanted within only a week.

In some ways this theme stumped me, as most of my ideas felt too simple or far too complex without necessarily interacting with the theme in an interesting way.

Anyway, my original idea for this game was a puzzle platformer game about a magician who had had their hats stolen by a bunny (look irony can be clever sometimes). Hats were essentially blocks that you could only carry on your head, restricting you from taking them into small space. Subsequent puzzles would need more hats (collected from previous levels) to solve. You could stack any number of hats veritcally on your head.

This was my first major faliure for game a week! It hit me kinda hard and was only easier to recover from because of how successful my week 7 game was. It also marks a general decline in the completeness of these games, as I was really beginning to get tired.
